O. Corbin Saleken wrote the screenplay in 1998, based on his free-roaming childhood in Vancouver, Canada in the early 1980's. He said, " Back then, it was not uncommon for my parents to have no idea where I was or what I was doing between the time I got out of elementary school at 3 PM and arrived home for dinner at 6 PM. My friends and I would often go on adventures, occasionally making up our own mysteries to investigate".
